Request Your AWS SES Production Access with ReadyStart

A ready-to-use application template to get your AWS SES account out of sandbox mode.

New AWS SES accounts are in sandbox mode by default — you can only send emails to verified addresses. To send to any user, you need to request production access.

How to Apply

  1. Go to AWS Console → SES → Account dashboard
  2. Click Request production access
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Mail type: Transactional
    • Website URL: Your production URL
    • Use case description: Copy the template below and adjust it for your project

Application Template

Copy and modify the following. Replace all [YOUR_...] placeholders with your actual information, and adjust the email types and sending volume based on your project:

All emails are system notifications only. We do not send marketing
or promotional content.

- 500–2,000 emails per day (mainly user registration and password reset)
- May increase to 5,000/day as user base grows

- Prompt removal of invalid email addresses

Tips for Approval

  • Keep the mail type as Transactional
  • Make sure your website URL is accessible before submitting
  • Having a working unsubscribe page significantly increases approval chances (ReadyStart has this built-in)
  • Approval usually takes 24 hours
  • If denied, review the rejection email, add more detail, and resubmit
